Changing Faces DVD Nominated for AMPIA Award
Changing Faces, a DVD produced by the GoA and Edmonton Police Service to inform Albertans how to spot and prevent identity theft, has been nominated for an Alberta Motion Picture Industries Association (AMPIA) Award in the Best Drama Under 60 Minutes category.
Changing Faces is an 18-minute fact-based drama that educates viewers how to be aware of and protect themselves from identity theft. The AMPIA Awards (also known as the "Rosie Awards") have been presented each year since 1974 to celebrate excellence in production. This year's awards had a record number of 843 entries. Thirty judges selected the top six entries in 23 class (best program) and 22 craft (i.e. best director, best screenwriter) categories.
The AMPIA Awards gala ceremony is Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Northlands Park in Edmonton.
